Playing games with dogs - Advantages

Making interactions with your pet enhances not only its physical built but also its mental state. By engaging your pet in various games the bond between the two of you increases. Playing games with dogs serve as an exercise and play time for them. Choosing a game you could play together depends on the types of dog you have, the age, physical appearance and their nature. Most dogs are really playful and would welcome games with a high degree of enthusiasm. The young ones and those with active bodies will enjoy it even more. Once you have determined whether your pet is ready to make social interaction, you can start figuring out which particular games to play.

If you don't have a wide lawn find an area perhaps in the nearest park where your pet can run freely without fear of being hit by people or cars. Toys are of big help but if you don't have any to play with you can try hide and seek. Involving other kids to play increases the fun. Just make sure that your pet is familiar with all the kids. This game can help your pet develop its sensing skills. Dogs have that peculiar sense of tracking someone or something using its sense of smell. The more kids it can locate means that it has developed that skill well.

Playing games with dogs also includes mild wrestling. However just a word of caution, do not play this game often because your pet might be looking at you as someone it can attack without getting reprimanded or attacking you is just a normal thing. You have to make it clear that it is just a playful game to develop or increase its strength. That is why as much as possible you have to keep it light, just a bit of hugs and pulls would do. If you want you can also include toys when playing games with dogs. Toys such as Frisbee can increase your pets mind and body performance because aside from running and jumping it will be required to use its head to calculate in which direction and how much distance the Frisbee will cover.

This game is great because it creates an exercise for its mental and physical state so you should play this game more often. You can also play fetch where in you would throw a ball or a stick and make your dog bring it back to you. This game is somewhat similar to playing Frisbee because it also involves the mind and body. Don't worry if your pet is stubborn because dogs have that attitude of fetching things thrown by their masters or owners. They find it exciting if they can catch something using their mouths and bring it back to you.

Make jogging a game by letting your pet chase you. Have something your pet will surely like for example a bone, a toy or its favorite treat. Make sure that you have your pet's attention to the object you are carrying with and start the chase. In this game you as the owner get to have some exercise too. You can create your own game and add to the ones mentioned previously. You know all about pets especially if you are a certified dog lover. Just be ready to treat any injuries if ever your pet goes out of hand.

Never lose the fun because that what games are supposed to be.
